Crazy Cart Night

K, all of you are going to think this is the dumbest thing you've EVER heard and it is, but I am soooo mad about this whole episode so I HAD to share it with you! K, I'm new to this whole Provo culture where people take grocery carts home with them from the store and leave them all over their yards and the streets etc. I think it looks SO trashy and it drives me CRAZY! We have had this mysterious shopping cart show up on OUR lawn for months now and we haven't caught who is is until last night! Cody was standing in our front lawn watering it and our neighbors that live to the left of us wheeled it on over and left it on our grass and walked away back into their house. So Cody comes in and says "I found out who's been leaving the cart! but they don't speak english so I didn't know what to do" I was telling him "why didn't you try to say something to them!" anyways, so this morning I pushed it over ont o their yard thinking that they'll get the message that we dont' want it on our property anymore. So I come home today and it's back! Now I'm bugged. So I push it back onto the side of their yard. A couple hours later it's back! Now I'm mad. So tonight I pushed it back onto their yard and saw them watching me do it outside their window starting at me, so I'm thinking "problem solved, they KNOW I am upset about it and they'll stop." So I walk inside, walk back to check on Brinklee, walk back to the front of the house, peek out the blinds and it's back!!! Now I'm fuming. So, amist my rage I call the grocery store to find out if they offer some weird Provo service that I don't know about and collect all the missing carts once a week or something (cuz that's how often this happens and we've even walked it down there and returned it ourselves) and they don't. So, not thinking cuz I'm so mad I call the police! ha ha but I really did. I explain the whole thing to them. She says I'll send an officer over to talk to you. Now I'm really scared and worried and thinking I should not have done that. So I call my neighbor downstairs cuz Cody's gone and at school and make her come outside with me cuz I'm being a baby. (she's laughting at me but still can't believe that this is even happening) Cody gets home a minute before the cop shows up and he can't believe I actually did this. So I explain the whole thing to the cop and I can tell he's trying not to laugh and he said "I can go talk to them" then I chicken out! I say "no cuz I'm nervous and scared that maybe they'll turn psycho and I'll start a war with them over a stupid cart! but I dont' want it to look like I"m the one taking the carts and I'm the trashy one with it sitting on my lawn!" anyways, the conversation went on for awhile and he moved it for me and told me I should probably get to know them and let them know how I feel and tell them if they keep taking carts they'll be charged. So I came in the house and raged about it for the rest of the night and hoped that they saw the cop car out there and saw him pushing it down the street! HA HA I'm sure he went back to the station and everyone is having a big laugh over this
