Carthage Jail

Carthage Jail was very different from what I pictured. I had no idea it was actually a house where a family and children lived. They would cook meals for the prisoners and they lived under the same roof. The room that the prophet and Hyrum were killed in was actually the master bedroom belonging to this family. The family was letting the men stay in their room because it was more comfortable, which I thought was amazing. It was very special to be in the same room that the prophet once was and to feel the spirit that was there. These are the stairs that the mob ran up, the window that the prophet fell out of, the original bullet hole through the door, and the second story window (a view from outside).
