Just a Few Things We've Been Up To

Having a toddler around that lights up over every small detail, has brought back the little excitements the holidays bring. Licking the beaters when mom bakes, crowded malls and lots of shopping, and watching her copy every move you make as she's trying to be just like you. Recently when Brinklee takes a bath she stands up and puts her foot on the side of the tub and rubs bubbles all over her legs. The second time she did this I realized that she was copying what I do when I shave my legs. I laughed. She always wants "up" when I'm cooking and will repeat "Up" and "see" until I hold her and show her exactly what I'm doing. It definitely slows down the task I'm trying to accomplish but her sweet innocence is such a joy to watch.
