Happy 4th Birthday Copeland! We celebrated Copeland's Birthday down in Arizona this year. I was down there already spending time with my family and Cody stayed home because of school and work. I always dread this day because a birthday is something we want to be excited and happy about and the whole day is spent going through the motions of celebration when really all I want to do is stay in bed. I was waking up that morning expecting to fight the urges to bawl my eyes out all day long and in through the door walks Cody! I did start bawling. I was so happy that he came down to spend the day with me and celebrate together. It meant the world to me and I'll never forget it. Typically every year we place balloons on his grave but this year we let them go into the sky (4) and watched them until they disappeared. It was a very special experience that I'm lacking words to describe but I loved it so much that we're definitely making it a tradition. It turned into a spiritual experience as we watched them float away. We love you Copeland and miss you always. You continue to teach us so many things and make us better people.
